History of Chetek Schools

The Chetek - Weyerhaeuser Scholarship Foundation spent some time tracking down some of the recipients of our Scholarships. We hope by reading some of their comments, will encourage those thinking about furthering their education to GO FOR IT.  We also hope that this page will encourage potential contributors to make a contribution to help students graduating from Chetek - Weyerhaeuser High School to believe in their dreams of furthering their education.

Sarah Robarge
1997 Graduate and CASF Recipient

Sarah graduated from UW-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has gone on to receive Chemotherapy Certifications. She presently is employed as a Legal Consultant for the Wicker Smith Law Office dealing in Medical Malpractice work. Sarah states her salary is greater than $50,000 per year. In her past positions depending on location her salary ranges have been in the $45,000 range.

Her profession according to Sarah " has allowed her to travel ( to Europe three times so far), and experience constantly changing experiences and opportunities. Her job allows her personal time to volunteer at an animal shelter where she got her dog Sam.

Her plans are to work toward her Masters and PhD. to teach in a university.

" I definitely feel knowledge is power-power to do things, change things, and contribute things. When I grew up in Chetek I would have never believed I could travel to as many places as I have or have as many career options as I do. But, due to my post-high school degree with help from the Scholarship Foundation and personal career success, I feel I have endless opportunities in front of my to live my life to the fullest. I continue to learn everyday and that's part of what makes life exciting".
